1. Categories of information

  • Files and archives you choose: file and folder names, locations, sizes, archive contents, and the temporary files or thumbnails created while compressing, extracting, previewing, or playing. Stored on the device; kept until you delete them.
  • Archive settings: format and options, extraction destination, whether the source archive is deleted after extraction, integrity-check results, and an encrypted-archive password you choose to remember. Stored in local storage; kept until you change or delete it.
  • Playback progress and history: position, media file, and playback records. Stored in a local SQLite database; kept until you delete the records or the App.
  • Preferences: theme color, dark mode, playback engine, playback options, and other interface settings. Stored in local preferences (UserDefaults); kept until you change or delete them.

2. Purposes

Browsing and organizing files, creating and extracting archives, handling encrypted and multi-volume archives, verifying an extraction, generating thumbnails and previews, playing media, resuming playback, and remembering your appearance and behavior preferences. No advertising, tracking, profiling, or analytics purpose exists.

3. Storage location and retention

All of the information above is processed and stored on your device: files and extraction results where you chose to keep them, preferences in local preferences, and playback records in a local database. We hold no server copy, so no retention period applies on our side. Information remains until you delete it in the App, delete the files in the file system, or uninstall the App.

4. Sharing and third-party components

We do not sell or share this information. The App contains no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics SDK. Open-source components such as libarchive, unrar, VLCKit, and GRDB run entirely on the device and receive no data over the network. Apple provides App Store distribution and the system features you invoke, such as the file picker, QuickLook, photo-library writing, and AirPlay.

5. Information the App does not process

The App does not collect your name, phone number, email address, or account identity, because it has no account system. It does not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA), does not request tracking permission, does not read your photo library, and does not collect location, contacts, health, or microphone data. It does not upload user files or send usage records to our servers.

6. Deletion and your rights

Delete files, extraction results, and playback records in the App, or uninstall the App to remove the data it stored locally. There is no account to close, because no account exists. Because we hold no server copy, we cannot remotely delete device-only data; contact privacy@kewoku.com if you need help or want to exercise a privacy right.
