UnzipDeck legal document
System Permissions
Which system permissions UnzipDeck requests, when they are used, what happens if you refuse, and where to change them.
Version 1.0 (Initial Release) · Effective on first public release
1. Permissions the App requests
- Access to files you choose — the App reads and writes only the files, folders, and archives you select through the system document picker, such as when you open an archive, import files, or export an extraction result. There is no access to files you did not choose.
- Saving images to your photo library — requested only when you choose to save an image to the system photo library. The permission is write access for the images you specify; the App does not read your photo library.
- Local network — triggered by the system framework only when you actively use a system feature such as AirPlay or screen mirroring, so that playback can be sent to the device you select. The App does not scan the local network on its own.
2. Permissions the App does not request
The App does not request tracking (App Tracking Transparency), advertising identifiers, location, contacts, calendar, camera, microphone, health, motion, or Bluetooth access. It does not request read access to your photo library, and it does not use notification permission.
3. Where permission settings live
System permission is managed by iOS, iPadOS, or macOS under Settings → Privacy & Security, and per-app under Settings → Apps → UnzipDeck. File access is granted through the system document picker and the Files app, so you decide which folders and files the App can reach.
4. What happens if you refuse
Refusing or withdrawing a permission affects only the feature that depends on it. Without photo-library write access you cannot save an image to Photos from the App; without local network access, AirPlay and similar features are unavailable, while browsing, compressing, and extracting files continue to work. Files you already opened or created are not deleted by withdrawing a permission.
